KOTA BELUD, SABAH – The TEKUN Madani Carnival, a major initiative by TEKUN Nasional and KUSKOP, was successfully held from May 15 to 17 at the Kadamaian Square Taginambur Hall in conjunction with Pesta Kaamatan 2025.
The carnival aimed to empower local micro-entrepreneurs by providing a crucial platform for market access and networking, particularly for the Bumiputera community.
Key figures highlight the event's success:
Attendance: Over 10,000 visitors.
Participants: 166 local entrepreneurs.
Sales Target: RM100,000.
Official Launch: Officiated by Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.
The event underscored KUSKOP's dedication to supporting MSMEs in Borneo, showcasing opportunities in digital commerce (like the TEKUN/TikTok Shop partnership) and providing direct access to financing and services from KUSKOP agencies, including SKM, Bank Rakyat, and SME Bank.
The TEKUN Madani Carnival effectively integrated a community festival with national economic goals, delivering a significant boost to local entrepreneurship in Kota Belud.
